Our literacy resource centre contains a diverse range of educational materials and kits, reports, newspapers, newsletters, books, and multi-media resources.
The CWDA’s office houses the organization’s Literacy Resource Centre (LRC). The centre contains a diverse range of educational materials and kits, reports, newspapers, newsletters, books, and multi-media resources.
There is a wide range of topics covered including non-formal education, human trafficking, migration, gender, women’s rights, health, HIV/AIDS prevention, sex workers, human rights, drug-abuse, the environment and agriculture. In 2010 the LRC imposed a data base for its materials, in order to expand, improve access and manage the materials better. The LRC is now categorized to be easily navigated by English and Khmer users.
In recognition of the CWDA’s local expertise in non-formal education the CWDA’s LRC was awarded the status of national literacy resource centre in 1996. The centre receives both local and international visitors.
The LRC is open everyday from 8-12am and 1.30-5.30pm.
The CWDA employs a part-time staff member to manage the library and to source new materials for the centre, CWDA’s, CICs and the CPU Women’s Room.
